Yes. The household goods inventory lists every item and carton removed from your home, and it details the condition of the property. The high-value inventory is for itemization for items of unusually high value such as artwork, electronics, crystal, china and antiques. This alerts the carrier to the presence and value of these items and your concern for their care. Both inventories are useful in the event of a claim.
It is recommended that you take items of irreplaceable value with. These items include jewelry, pictures and important documents, such as medical records.
A third-party service provider generally is a certified company hired to perform tasks that the carrier is not qualified or authorized to perform, such as disconnecting hard-wire electrical fixtures, dismantling pool tables, disconnecting gas appliances, etc.
