INTERSTATE WORLDWIDE RELOCATION SERVICES SPONSORS
 JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT 2007 BOWL-A-THON

SPRINGFIELD, VA.– Interstate Worldwide Relocation Services is proud to announce their Gold Sponsorship of the 2007 Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon.  Junior Achievement of the National Capital Area (JANCA) is part of the world's largest and fastest-growing organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and free enterprise. Through age-appropriate curricula, Junior Achievement programs teach students in grade K through 12 how they can impact the world around them as individuals, workers and consumers by focusing on economic literacy, entrepreneurship, personal finance, and workforce readiness.  The Bowl-a-Thon helped to raise awareness for area Junior Achievement programs.

The 2007 Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon was held on March 17-18, 2007 at Bowl America locations around the Washington, D.C. metro area.  The event comprised of several five-person bowling teams, who each raised a minimum of $100.  Each team enjoyed two games of bowling, prizes, music and festive St. Patrick’s Day activities.  The event had over 2,500 participants and raised over $480,000 in scholarship and financial aid money for area Junior Achievement students.

“Interstate is a proud sponsor of the 2007 Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon,” said Bud Morrissette, chief executive officer and executive vice president at Interstate Worldwide Relocation and Junior Achievement board member.  “The event raises awareness for JA programs - delivered in an after-school setting creating engaging, and academically enriching experiences for children in diverse communities.”

Interstate was not only a Gold Sponsor of the Bowl-a-Thon, but also participated in teams comprised of employees and family members who joined other organizations at the Chantilly Bowl America for a fun-filled afternoon of “celebrating for a purpose.”

“We are honored to have Interstate Worldwide Relocation as a Gold Sponsor of the 2007 Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon,” said Kim Denis, director, special events at Junior Achievement.  “Through his membership on the Junior Achievement Board, Bud has demonstrated his commitment to this organization by continually looking for sponsorship opportunities.”
