Interstate Earns a 100% Superior Overall Performance Rating from
Washington Area Consumers

Washington Consumers’ Checkbook Magazine Report:
Interstate Continues to Consistently Deliver Exceptional Moving Services since 1943

SPRINGFIELD, VA., – When the Washington Consumers’ Checkbook magazine surveyed over 1,700 moving customers in the Washington metro area from 2000 through 2005 to determine the quality of moving services they experienced, Interstate earned a perfect 100% overall performance rating from consumers.  In the Winter/Spring 2006, Washington Consumers’ Checkbook magazine, a nonprofit consumer products and service watchdog publication dedicated to helping Washington area consumers find the highest quality, reasonably priced service providers, published consumer ratings for over 37 different moving and storage companies. The Washington Metropolitan Area is home to more than 500 moving services companies.

Washington Consumers’ Checkbook magazine featured an article titled “How to Move Your Household” in their 2006 annual edition based on the results of the independent survey which interviewed 108 customers that used the moving services of each company in the last five years.  The survey results show that Interstate was consistently ranked number one or number two out of 37 moving companies in four specific areas. With a 92% rating in all four areas, Interstate came in at number one at starting and completing work properly, letting you know cost early and overall performance, while rating number two for doing work properly. Interstate also received a 100% rating for the percentage of customers rating a firm “adequate” or “superior” for consumer offices.
