Springfield, VA… Interstate Worldwide Relocation is pleased to announce that Jean Smith was named Interstate's "Salesperson of the Year" for 2001. Jim Overbay won Interstate's "Top Salesperson Award" for December 2001.
Smith, who won the coveted title in both 1997 and 1998, attributes her success to Interstate and her personal experience with moving. "We're selling a wonderful service. Interstate's customers receive our Top Hat service at every step of their move. I became interested in the relocation industry after having moved many times with my husband, a retired Army serviceman. My first sale at Interstate was 26 years ago for $27," she said. "I credit my colleagues for keeping the race so close. This year there were four of us who could have won right up to the end."
Overbay got his start in the moving industry at his family's Vermont-based moving company. "I feel good about the service and value that Interstate offers its customers," said Overbay, who won his first sales title after a mere two months with Interstate.
The Interstate sales force makes household visits to conduct free In-Home Surveys for potential movers. Those interested in receiving this free moving estimate should contact Interstate at 1-800-745-MOVE (6683), ext. 234 or visit www.InterstateWorldwide.com for more information.
Established in 1943, the Interstate family of companies today comprises a worldwide group of relocation management, transportation and logistic entities that will facilitate more than 25,000 relocations this year. For more than half a century, the Interstate team has been learning and building on its reputation for providing Top Hat Service. The experience and attention to detail led to Interstate being designated as ISO 9002 certified for all entities and facilities in August 2000, an accomplishment achieved by less than one percent of companies within its industry.
